Collective motion and linear stability in networks of nonlinear oscillators

Abstract

The onset of collective motion in sparse networks is discussed and compared to both massively/globally coupled networks on the one side and to standard space-time chaos in regular lattices on the other. Some properties of the linear stability will be also presented, including an exact calculation of the of the Floquet exponents in a network of globally pulse-coupled phase-oscillators.
