Heat conductivity in one dimensional systems: A further surprise besides anomalous behaviour

Abstract

In the last year it was discovered that low-dimensional lattice systems generically exhbit a diverging heat conductivity (with the system size). Over the years it has become clear that this is a robust behaviour, but it is still unclear whether there exists one or more universality classes. Very recent simulations of a much simple model hard-point particles has revealed an unexpected relationship with Levy walks.
